I have noticed everyone sees things differently. Two people can witness the same event, and come away with different perceptions and interpretation of what they saw. Part of this is because of our unique backgrounds and preferences. Some see things optimistically and other pessimistically. Jesus encounter with the man born blind plays on this. The Pharisees didn’t want to acknowledge that anything good could come from Jesus. The man born blind called him a prophet. There is physical blindness and spiritual blindness. Then there is preferential blindness. All three types of blindness can limit our ability to participate in the wonder of creation and faith.
