Justice is an idea pursued by people throughout generations in every land, place, and culture. Justice has been both perverted, twisted, abused and found delivered, and become a blessing. Even in today’s world the questions of justice emerge on a daily basis in the media, and often in our own lives. Both the prophets and Jesus speak to the issues of justice and their lessons lead both our thought and faith today. The prophets measured the good of the nation on whether the kings could deliver justice. They called the kings “evil” when they abused justice. Solomon receives God’s blessings, because he asks for the wisdom adjusted. Jesus ties the pursuit of justice to prayer. What can we learn from their teachings?
