What is the “straw that broke the camel’s back?” Lazarus’ resurrection was probably the last straw. Jesus’ signs and wonders were drawing followers to HIM. So many, it began to bother the religious leadership and drove them to actively plot how to kill HIM. They invoked the need to “save the nation” in their conspiracies. The stage is set for Jesus’ death burial and resurrection. His resurrection becomes one of the cornerstones of the Christian church and its most powerful message. We at times forget Jesus’ message was very controversial and challenging. His resurrection is even more challenging than his messages. It created possibilities we still to not understand. It challenged traditions & beliefs. It changed the course of human history. Can it still change the course of human history?
